very early African tribal Chiefs chair, ornately carved with six different figures adorning the chair, the seat portion itself is made of stretched animal hide and does show quite a bit of use, the wood itself shows some age as it does have cracking in quite a few places, overall the chair measures 36 inches in height and 13 inches in width, it is 14 inches to the top of the seat, there is an unusual metal token or coin embedded in the top rung I took a close up photo of this, this chair was acquired buy an engineer and World Traveler in the 1950s through trade, this is not a tourist piece of furniture this was actually heavily used most likely mid 19th century ,I do not know any other info about the piece, any questions feel free to ask I could send more photos if an interested party would like
