When combined, the sound is a combination of the open resonance we know and love from the Ambassador with the articulate warmth of Black Suede. Sweetwater’s drummers have found that these heads are great if you’re chasing a thickness that bridges the gap between the Ambassador and Emperor models! This delightful tone is achieved thanks to 1-ply, 10mm treated ebony film. The textured surface that Black Suede heads are revered for comes courtesy of Remo’s proprietary process, offering a subtle batter texture finished in a stylish non-reflective matte black.
