    This amazing bronze Dogon sculpture of a horse and rider would be a historical addition to a collector of Dogon culture and African Art. According to ancient Dogon belief, the horse was the first animal to leave the ark and symbolizes chieftainship, power, and wealth.
    Metropolitan Museum of Art states, “Dogon figures depicting horses and riders reflect the prestige and power surrounding an animal that has been associated with royalty since horses were introduced to West Africa more than a thousand years ago."
