Old Lobi African Wood Figure - Burkina Faso - 20th Century
Old wooden female figure from the Baule tribe of Africa.  Expertly carved from one piece of heavy wood, with faint remnants of original red paint remaining on head.  Typical heavily lidded eyes and trance-like expression.  Stands well on it's own, no stand needed.  Solid condition, with slight encrustation. Old loss to proper left foot, otherwise intact.
Please examine photos carefully for condition.
Purchased at auction years ago, this is  part of my personal collection I am selling to downsize.
