    Description

    This is a vintage NOS Remo CS Black Dot head with the Gretsch logo. Original packaging is not included. There are some light surface scratches from moving/stacking, but it has never been mounted or played. There is an extremely tiny bubble in the black dot material about the size of a pencil point (see black arrow in angled shot of black dot) - this is not a dent in the head. It is barely visible. In the last picture, I tried to zoom-in and photograph the underside of the head, showing the bubble, but it wouldn't focus, so that hazy circle is it. Ha ha. Sorry to belabor the point ...
    Anyway, I confirmed with Remo tech support that they have always made Gretsch heads and that they are the same in every way as the standard Remo heads ... just a different logo. I double-confirmed this by comparing this head with a Remo-branded 24" CS Black Dot head ... same in every way. Perfect for that later Tony Williams sound. Awesome punch!
    PS - When pricing these, I discovered that larger black dot heads are out of stock at several discount retailers.
