12/14/20/14 SNARE + 2 Original Ludwig Felt Strips
__________
THE RESONANT SIDE BASS HEAD HAS THE ORIGINAL LOGO & IS THE CORRECT "LUDWIG" LOGO FOR AN EARLY RINGO KIT.
Having dealt with vintage Ludwig drums for two decades, you discover a few things. Original Ludwig heads are the best choice, in my opinion, for any 60's Ludwig drum. What is different about EARLY 60's Ludwig heads is that they weigh more than mid-60's and later Ludwig heads.
I don't believe this factor has ever been discussed before. The weight difference was noticeable by feel ... and then I decided to weigh a bunch of 60's Ludwig heads. I am going to wager that the weight difference is akin to the difference between COB (copper) and COS (steel) hoops. COB hoops sound better by far and are in fact the preferred hoop by everyone who knows the difference.
14" RESO HEAD IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. BATTER HEAD HAS STICK MARKS AND SOME TONING BUT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
10/10 (RESO HEAD) ~ 9.8/10 (BATTER)
12" RESO AND BATTER HEADS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
9.9/10 ~ 10/10
SNARE ~ Both are NEW/OLD STOCK from 1960's with boxes; unused. Find another pair!!!
BOTH 20" BASS HEADS ARE IN VERY FINE CONDITION & SHOW LITTLE WEAR - MOSTLY STICKS MARKS ON THE RESO HEAD.
BATTER HEAD RELATIVELY UNBLEMISHED. THE RESONANT HEAD'S LOGO IS FROM 1964 AND IS THE SAME AS RINGO'S EARLY 60'S KIT. THESE HEADS ARE RARE NOT ONLY BECAUSE OF CONDITION, BUT ALSO BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE THE TYPICAL POWDER ROUGH COATING. ALSO, THESE ARE A RARE VERSION THAT IS MORE OPAQUE AND ALLOWS, SAY A RECORD, TO BE EASILY READ THROUGH THEM.
9.9/10 (RESO) ~ 10/10 (BATTER)
