Wood bound, with carved and painted covers that are hinged, as well as leather thong bound!
A charming volume with recipes that were obviously typed and handwritten, and then reprinted by hand. The drinks are improbably named – the “Ping Pong,” “Yellow Daisy,” and drinks named after Ivy League schools illustrates that you can call a drink whatever you like if it tastes good. Writes Whitfield, “We may go to Europe for our chefs, but Europe comes to us for its bartenders,” and back then, he was probably right.

Good shape; boards and binding great with minimal wear, first couple of pages have some staining, but that's pretty much done by page 12; overall some toning and wear to pages, but very nice shape! A great, unusual cocktail book. See pictures for a good visual description.
