    This is a rare antique large Ethiopian hand carved wood ceremony drum with a leather hide drum head which is tied on with
    woven leather strapping. This amazing, very heavy specimen measures 14 1/2 inches tall by 16 inches wide across the top with a circumference of 50 1/2 inches and weighs 24 pounds and 9 ounces. This Ethiopian ceremony drum is in great antique condition with some tears in the hide covering the wood body and one tear and a rip in the side of the leather head which does not affect the playable nature of the drum head since it is on the side of the drum and some broken leather thongs.
