DOGONDOOR - MALI This Dogon granaries wooden door is adorned withexquisitely carved symbols. The granarystores the crops of all the inhabitants of a village who wish to place theirprovisions under the guardianship of the lineage elder. The lineage elder ischarged with, among other things, carrying out the various rites consecrated tothe "souls" of cultivated plants.
