    This  piece, minted in 1867, has never been worn, and comes in the original box, with  the intended recipient’s name and other pertinent information still legible, in  pencil. The ribbon is in incredible shape for a ribbon of 153 years of age.
    Besides  the usual details of the medal’s design, this particular one is inscribed, on  the rim, to DAVID RIGGS Co G 1
