Beautiful African Bronze statue of a king - Nigerian Benin,TRIBAL ART.
This is a heavy wonderfully sculpted bronze statue - from the mid 20th century.It measures 21" high - with a base of 4" by 6". It weighs a solid 11 pounds. The condition is excellent and the patina is gorgeous.
There is a signature on the inside bottom which I tried to show in the last photo, but it is not very clear. Perhaps APPA and another word or name underneath.
