    Description

I am pleased to be able to offer this amazing, antique, Dogon People tribally hand carved and used African wooden house or granary ladder which has been mounted on an iron base for display purposes and which was collected from Mali, Africa. This fine antique Dogon ladder specimen measures 72 inches tall by 12 inches wide and the iron base measures 12 inches by 18 inches. This ladder weighs approximately 45 pounds. Great overall condition for this specimen's age with a lot of wear to the wood and some rust to the base.
These ladders were used in the Dogon villages to climb to the flat roofs of homes and into their granaries.
Due to this African ladder's size and weight it will be mailed UPS ground.
This old traditional piece of African art would be a perfect addition to any African collection and are amazing as interior design pieces. Please feel free to email me for more pictures before buying.
