    Description

    CONICAL BELL. Fon people, Benin. Bells like these were kept in Voodun shrines and used to summon ancestral spirits. All hand forged on a custom base.  The single cone folds around the handle with a fiddlehead top. The clapper is suspended from the handle in the cone. Iron. H 11in. 12" tall in the stand.
