    Description

    A very large and impressive old Idoma ancestor sculpture from Nigeria, West Africa. Carved from a single piece of wood with raised decorative elements such as wristbands and necklace and scarification designs on the abdomen. The Anjenu statues were exhibited in shrines dedicated to the cults of the bush spirits. The statue is approximately 33.5" tall without the base which is included.
