    African Nkisi Kozo Dog Fetish statue of the BAKONGO tribe from Congo. The dog statue has 2 heads.
    Nails were hammered into the statue to activate its spiritual power. Magic charges were put into back and closed with a piece of mirror. The eyes are mirrors as well.
    In African art, Nkisis are the embodiment of voodoo and witchcraft. Nkisis don’t only cure but also protect and promote hunting or fishing. It can also be used as a weapon and have a negative effect on the people involved.
    The Kozo dog shows several signs of wear, but is in good condition. Have a good look at the pictures.
