THIS INTERESTING OLD MASK WAS GIVEN TO ME BY THE LATE ART DEALER AUSSMAN BIRI, he was a dear friend whom I met in New York in the 90 s he invited me to visit him in West Africa Cote D'ivore,  this was before the coup d'etat ,,,,I was so excited to finally see Africa and collect tribal art first hand from the natives, we managed to spend time meeting various art dealers in Abijan and Grand Bassam where I met the famous musician Alfa Blonde, we managed to also go up to the Bale region near Bauke and acquired some rather interesting pieces, many of them on offer on my ebay site.
