The item you are offered today is one round, 10"  diameter, Deer rawhide for a 8" wood drum frame,
or a gourd drum.
NOTE:  This drum head is medium weight which will produce a mellow tone.
Just punch your holes for your lacing and soak in cool water (never hot water) to  stretch over your frame or gourd.
Thicker rawhide requires at least 24 hours soaking. This is new, fresh cut and good  quality and color.
This particular drum head is an extra heavy and will only require overnight  soaking.

The weight of the rawhide head effects the tone of the drum. A thicker drum head  produces a deeper tone.

SOAK IN CLEAN CONTAINER:
It is vitally important that the container you soak your rawhide in be completely clean.  Any residue from cleaning fluids, dyes, even fruit juices that have dried on your pan or bucket will change the composition of the rawhide.  Example: soaking rawhide lace in a pan that has dried residue on it (even if you can't see it) will turn the rawhide  into rubber bands texture rendering it useless for anything.

just to give you an idea of what you can do.
